On April 18-21 of the current year in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, XVI International conference “Ti-2018 in CIS” has been held in which the representative from PJSC” Titanium institute” took part and delivered the report “Production and application of HDH titanium alloy powders from alloyed titanium sponge”. Research data presented in the report have been obtained during joint work of the specialists of PJSC “Titanium institute” and “Titan Zaporozhye” Research Center.
237 specialists in the field of titanium production and applications took part in the conference. They represented Ukraine, China, Luxembourg, Italy, the USA, Ireland, Poland, Japan, Lithuania, Germany, Russia and other countries
XVI International Conference “Ti-2018 in the CIS” was arranged by Titan Interstate Association
established in 1991 due to the initiative of the leading manufacturers of titanium products and sectoral research institutes. With active involvement of specialists from enterprises and organizations Titan Interstate Association creates programs for development of raw-material base for the titanium sector, technological improvement and reconstruction of main titanium production plants, increasing applications of titanium products as well as reduction in expenses for titanium production.

The discussion of offer prepared by NextMetals Ltd., the United States regarding collaboration in the field of new titanium-based alloys development and their application for aerospace in Ukraine and for export to European countries, and the United States has been held in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine with a participation of Viktor Brener, Acting Director General of PJSC “Titanium institute”.
V. Brener expressed his interest in collaboration with NextMetals Ltd. In particular, it is planned to conduct new titanium-based alloys joint pilot testing, use engineers and process engineers experience from both sides to create a new innovative technology for porous titanium production from ilmenite.
NextMetals Ltd. is also interested in setting up a certification center in Ukraine to certify created new materials according to aviation and aerospace standards of the United States and Europe.
In the near future NextMetals Ltd. representatives are planning to visit PJSC “Titanium institute” to finalize scope and direction of joint work and sign minutes of intentions.

In order to confirm that the current quality management system provides for qualitative design works, and stable and reliable services rendered to our partners, in February of this year PJSC “Titanium institute” successfully and ahead of schedule underwent QMS recertification audit in compliance with the new international standard ISO 9001:2015.

Audit was carried out by LLC “Global Certifik” – an international auditing company, an accredited body for certification of product, process and service management systems, an authorized representative of the international certification body “DEKRA Certification Sp. z o.o.”.

Scope of certification: “Development and commercialization of technologies and equipment of enterprises of metallurgical and chemical industries. Engineering services”.

As the result of business trip of PJSC “Titanium institute” employees to the Republic of India to the industrial site of Saraf Agencies Private Limited during February 24 – 26, 2018 design solutions regarding reconstruction of cascade of discharge from furnaces for titanium slag production. Process solutions regarding improvement process of titanium slag smelting on existing equipment have been also suggested.

Since 21st of December, 2017, by the order of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine of the 18th of December, 2017, No. 242-p Brener Viktor Aleksandrovich was appointed by Acting Director General of the PJSC «Titanium Institute».
